Not every damaged tyre needs replacing. We inspect punctured and leaking tyres inside and out at our Cowfold workshop and repair them wherever it is safe to do so, following the British Standard for tyre repairs, BS AU 159. Where a repair would not be safe, we will tell you plainly.

Commonly repairable damage includes punctures in the central tread area, slow leaks from valve stems, and bead leaks or minor rim damage. Damage to the sidewall or shoulder generally cannot be repaired safely, which is why the internal inspection matters.

Get the tyre looked at if you have had a sudden loss of pressure or a flat, if there is a screw, nail or other sharp object in the tread, if the TPMS warning light is on, or if you have noticed vibration or poor handling.

Do not put it off. Driving on a damaged tyre risks a blowout, and a repair is quick when the damage is still repairable.
